Certification Programme for Spring Dell Academy Teachers/Facilitators

Professional development program has just ended for teachers of Spring Dell Academy and the certificates have been handed over by Kathmandu University. The program was aimed at developing the professional competence of teachers through workshop and bringing educational practices throughout Banke district to align with the vision of the school with a view to providing a holistic education for students and a model institution in the district.

This training program was commenced a year back through some agreement and has been included in a credit accumulation framework as equivalent to 3 credits. The training for the school’s teachers was provided by the Center for Continuous Professional Education (CPEC) under the School of Education at Kathmandu University.

Among the distinguished guests in the ceremony was Professor Dr. Hemraj Kafle from the School of Education, Kathmandu University, who consequently awarded the participants’ certificates. The event also included the pride speech from the principal of the school, Sharad Chandra Rawal, in which he expressed how the program has helped them grow from individual strengths into collective excellence. And the chairman of the school management committee reminded again that learning is a lifelong process and persistence leads to refinement.

This training helped them induct even children from diverse geographical, economic, and cultural backgrounds into the mainstream education system. They are now better prepared to tackle the needs of the students that possess diverse learning abilities and multiple intelligences of making their future more promising and secure.

Kathmandu University’s School of Education had awarded 23 certificates of professional training in teaching to teachers at Spring Dell Academy, Nepalgunj who were actively attending the curriculum learning process. Professor Dr. Hemraj Kafle stated the importance of making use of innovative technologies for teaching and assuring quality education and expressed satisfaction regarding the success of the program.
