Transformations [3 Marks]
1. Translate the vertices of ABC with vertices A(1,3), B(-1,3) and C(2,-3) by 1 unit right and 2 units down. Present both the triangles in the same graph.
2. Translate the vertices of ABC with vertices A(-1,2), B(3,-1) and C(2,3) by 3 unit left and 5 units up. Present both the triangles in the same graph.
3. Plot the PQR with vertices P(1,3), Q(0,-3) and R(8,-1) also,
P’Q’R’ with vertices and P’(3,5), Q’(2,-1) and R’(10,1). Find the translation vector.
4. LOK with vertices L(2,3), O(4,5), K(6,4) is displaced by the vector (-1,3). Find the image of
PQR. Also plot both object and image in a same graph paper.
5. X(-2,3), Y(5,2) and Z(-1,-1) are the vertices of XYZ, Reflect
XYZ about X-axis. Plot both object and image in the same graph paper.
6. X(2,3), Y(-5,1) and Z(1,0) are the vertices of XYZ, Reflect
XYZ about Y-axis. Plot both object and image in the same graph paper.
7. XYZ with vertices X(0,3), Y(3,-1) and Z(-1,1) is reflected to X’(0,-3), Y’(3,1) and Z’(-1,-1), Find the axis of reflection Also, Plot both object and image in the same graph paper.
8. Draw a square with the vertices O(0,0), A(4,0), B(4,-4), and C(0,-4) in a graph paper. Rotate it with center about origin through +900 rotation. Find the co-ordinates of the image and also plot it on the same graph paper.
9. Square with the vertices O(0,0), A(0,2), B(-2,2), and C(-2,-2) is rotated with center about origin through -900 rotation. Find the co-ordinates of the image and plot it on the same graph paper.
10. Rectangle with the vertices P(1,0), Q(3,0), R(3,3), and S(1,3) is transformed to P’(0,-1), Q’(0,-3), R(-3,3) and S’(3,-1). Find the center and angle of rotation. Plot both figures on the same graph paper.
