Under the primary objective of “quality education as the need of the day,” Kathmandu University School of Education has recently partnered with Toran Navajeevan Secondary School, Bagdol for a collaborative effort. The agreement would now continuously engage teachers from the school through the University’s Centre for Continuing and Professional Education to meet the needs of identification at school, conduct action research, develop action plans, implement workshop programs, ensure continuous monitoring and evaluation with support, and enhance professional development for the teachers.

The agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Bal Chandra Luitel on behalf of Kathmandu University and Principal Sujan Krishna Gorkhali on behalf of Toran Navajeevan Secondary School.

Prof. Dr. Luitel expressed that this collaboration would not only enhance the professional skills of the teachers and improve academic performance but also provide opportunities for mutual learning and developing 21st-century skills. On the part of the school, Principal Sujan Krishna Gorkhali opined that the partnership would assure quality education for every child who comes to the school and would contribute significantly to the holistic development of teachers, students, and the school as a whole.
